Putting Compassion Into Action "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." Martin Luther King, Jr.
Coalition to Protect and Rescue Pets is a network of people who believe in acting on our compassion. We epitomize grassroots activism: No staff. No lobbyists. And we don't accept funding--so we're accountable only to the animals we seek to protect--though we do appreciate donated services.
We’re volunteers who work on our own time and our own dime for the love of animals.
And we're effective.
As citizen advocates, we've led the campaigns that passed landmark laws prohibiting devocalization--we are the acknowledged authority on this issue--and the pet rental trade. We also educate the public about humane treatment of animals, and help rescuers and individuals place "unadoptable" pets in loving homes. All of our work is done through grassroots outreach.
Together, we've proven you don't need a lot of money or a big-name organization to make a difference.
You just need to take your caring to the next level.
